Design with me: vintage boy coat. Part one: inspiration.
I have been making this one coat pattern for my girl now for ages. It is Violet Field Threads Valentina coat and I love it. I want a similar style coat for my boy. One that I never get tired of and one that will always look amazing.
Inspiration
I was looking for a ready made pattern to buy, but could not really find one that is meeting my expectetions, so I thought I could design one myself.
So in conclusion: I want a coat that is
- tunic length (just over bum)
- Raglan sleeves
- Collar looking nice buttoned up and down.
- One or two row of buttons
- Welt pocket
- Slight A-line
Perhaps:
- A collar with fleece
- A back-pleat.
