Sewing planning: My Image #14: top 1707 Senja dress

The idea
I found this lovely viscose fabric through Karta Batic Fabric.
It is an Etsy shop run by Jessica who sells original batiks from Indonesia. A part of the profits go to help educate underprivileged children in Indonesia.
The fabric is 115 cm wide and about 200 cm long. My plan was make a simple top. Put the parts on the fabric horizontally and use the rest of the fabric as a wrap skirt. The skirt will be 115 long (not including seam allowances) and the circumference will be whatever remains of the two meters (minus the width of one shirt pattern)

Senja's colors bring you to a beautiful warm sunset by the Indian Ocean, casting shadows of the coconut trees on the coast.
Essential to daily life in Indonesia, coconut trees often become a source of inspiration for modern batik motif creation.
According to ancient Javanese philosophy, batik with flora motif is a reminder that humans have to act ecologically responsible.
A good advice to us all that also fits into the idea of slow fashion/ sewing itself :)

Composition: Premium quality Viscose Dobby (semi-silk)
Dobby is a subtle geometric texture on the viscose fabric, created by applying a special technique during the weaving process. This beautiful texture elevates the fabric by giving it a subtle shine and silky feel.
The fabric is lightweight and has a lovely flowy drape, which makes it perfect for sewing blouse/ dress/ skirt, etc.
