 The fabric

  • Viscose Batic in a 'Dobby' wave. See under the description from their site.
Senja's colors bring you to a beautiful warm sunset by the Indian Ocean, casting shadows of the coconut trees on the coast.
Essential to daily life in Indonesia, coconut trees often become a source of inspiration for modern batik motif creation.
According to ancient Javanese philosophy, batik with flora motif is a reminder that humans have to act ecologically responsible.
A good advice to us all that also fits into the idea of slow fashion/ sewing itself :)

Composition: Premium quality Viscose Dobby (semi-silk)
Dobby is a subtle geometric texture on the viscose fabric, created by applying a special technique during the weaving process. This beautiful texture elevates the fabric by giving it a subtle shine and silky feel.
The fabric is lightweight and has a lovely flowy drape, which makes it perfect for sewing blouse/ dress/ skirt, etc.

Pattern instructions
Very easy. It is sew back to front, sew straps, sew lining to fabric.I added a skirt with an elastic waistband.

Fit
It is short, VERY short. It shows in the line drawings, but not much in the pictures.

Conclusion
It is sufficient in what I intended for it. I can combine it with the skirt and it will look good. If I would make the top again, I would make it longer.
