PATTERN REVIEW: NAAITRENDS 4: KIDS DRESS V2

 

Love this pattern. It is different, spacious and fun. 

The pattern

Summer dress. Side skirt is partially sewn into the sleeve.

Additional info:

• 4,6 and 8 yo. I made a 6yo. 
• Recommended Fabrics : lightweight drapy wovens
• 2/5
• Naaitrends 4.

The fabric

• ca 0,6 meter yellow cotton (from a storebought skirt I didn't fit)
• ca 1,0 meter viscose from tst-stoffen

Cutting the fabric.

The skirt is pretty straightforward. The bodice is lined. 

Instructions:

Firstly they refer to the wrong pattern sheet. Then they name all the corners/notches but it would be easier if they had printed them on the fabric lay-out as well. 

First sew the lower half of the sleeve (closest to elbow). Then sew skirt to upper half of the sleeve (fold the seam open). Then insert the sleeve with two side seams making one long seam (from the back up to the shoulder down in the front.

Fit:

It is a bit oversized.

Conclusion:

love it. will make more surely
