Pattern review: BURDA 07/2021; WRAP SKIRT

 

What a fun skirt. 

The pattern

Looks like a cool pareo, but fits much better thanks to the precisely positioned darts. We have put in pleats on the side of the wrap - this is how the skirt models a perfect figure.

• 44-52 (EU) I'll make a 48
• Recommended fabrics: light and drapy fabrics.

The fabric

• ca 1,8 meter African wax from Africanfabs.nl

 

Instructions:

 Instructions are not too bad. I did think it was weard to have a cut on facing on the front layover and seperate facings on the back and front.

Fit:

It is a rather forgiving fit I think. I like the pleats in the front. 

Conclusion:

Fun pattern. Should have made it in a more wearable print.
