Sew along: Burda 07/2021; wrap skirt

 The idea

This lovely wax is blue with white dots. The dots are gold embelished and get bigger in the middle of the fabric. It is a lovely to play with. I think a wrap skirt would look really nice. 

The pattern

Looks like a cool pareo, but fits much better thanks to the precisely positioned darts. We have put in pleats on the side of the wrap - this is how the skirt models a perfect figure.

The fabric

• ca 1,8 meter African wax from Africanfabs.nl

Cutting the fabric.

I wanted to have the band of gold at the same place on the skirt. The length of 1,8 meters is used to put the pieces side by side. The scraps are used for some facings and the ties.
