Sew along: B*trendy #12; ruffle dress

 

The idea

Pink viscose jersey (I think) good for a summer/fall dress. I like the different ruffles on the dress make it a playfull pattern. 

The pattern

Dress with hoodie, short sleeves and two layered ruffles. 

Additional info:

• 92-176 (EU) or 2-16 yo (US). I make a size 116 (6yo)

The fabric

• ca 1 meter viscose jersey. 

Cutting the fabric.

It wasn't as easy as it could be. The top ruffle layer is drawn wrongly. On the sheets there is only one half drawn and it says to mirror it. Because it is a diamant shape, you cannot mirror it. Also the instructions miss a step. It says baste ruffle one to layer two. Sew to front. What layer should go where is not mentioned. Piece 5 is the bottom ruffle, piece 4 the top layer.
