Pattern review: B*TRENDY #12; RUFFLE DRESS

 

Lovely fun dress. 

The pattern

Dress with hoodie, short sleeves and two layered ruffles. 

Additional info:

• 92-176 (EU) or 2-16 yo (US). I make a size 116 (6yo)
• Recommended Fabrics : knits like French terry, 
• 3/6
• B* trendy #12

The fabric

• ca 1 meter viscose jersey. 

 

Instructions:

It wasn't as easy as it could be. The top ruffle layer is drawn wrong. On the sheets there is only one half drawn and it says to mirror it. Because it is a diamant shape, you cannot mirror it. Also the instructions miss a step. It says baste ruffle one to layer two. Sew to front. What layer should go where is not mentioned. Piece 5 is the bottom ruffle, piece 4 the top layer.  

Fit:

Sizing is on point I think, it looks a bit on the smaller size. 

Conclusion:

Like the dress. It is a bit different with the different ruffles. Good for stripey fabrics or colorblocking.
