Pattern review: B*TRENDY #9; BATHROBE QUINN

 

 

How precious is this. It is soo big, but she will love it for a long time.

The pattern

Bathrobe with lining, hoodie and pockets. 

Additional info:

• 80-176 (EU) - 12 mo - 16 y (US). I make a 128 
• Recommended Fabrics : cottons.

The fabric

• ca 1 meter cotton bought at stoffenspektakel. 
• ca 1 meter wafle cotton through budgetstoffen

 

 

 

Instructions:

The hood is cut on the back part and needs a specific set of steps to sew it to the neck. It is explained with diagrams, so that makes it easy.

There is a mistake though. The robe and lining are finished with biasbinding. Instructions say to cut the fabric on the bias, but the fabric lay-outs put these pices on the grain. Also, it asks for the same amount of fabric for the lining and the outside. All that makes me think if the fabric requirements are correct.ade 128 which is 8yo and 4 sizes larger than my girl wears, so I can't really say anything regarding fit.

Fit:

It is very large, but expected as it is 4 sizes to large. It is a forgiving fit though. 

Conclusion:

Will make again when needed.
