Sew along: B*trendy #9; bathrobe Quinn
The idea
My girl saw this pinguin fabric at the fabric fair we went to. She really loves pinguins and I thought this would be the perfect project. I'll make the largest size possible that is allowed in the pinguin fabric. I want the pinguins to be at the bottom.
The pattern
Bathrobe with lining, hoodie and pockets.

The fabric
- ca 1 meter cotton bought at stoffenspektakel.
- ca 1 meter wafle cotton through budgetstoffen
Cutting the fabric.
The bottom quarter of the fabric is blue with white dots and I will use this part for the sleeves. The second quarter is the pinguin border and the top half of the fabric is blue with yellow stars. This 3/4 width of the fabric is the maximum height of the pattern (mind you the hoodie is cut on; so a fairly long piece). It was long enough for a size 128 which means plenty of space to grow. The pattern is made from a large back piece (with hoodie), front piece, sleeves and pockets. I didn't use biasbinding. but lined the bathrobe like I would a coat.
