PATTERN REVIEW: BURDA 06-2020 COAT 132, version 2 and 3.

 

The pattern

summery coat for little ones, hoodie is lined with same fabric.

Additional info:

• 104-128 (EU) or 4-8 (US) I sized down to 98 (3) and up to 134 (9yo)
  
• Recommended fabrics: cottons like mousseline
  
• Rated 2/4
• Burda 6/2020

The fabric

• 0,5 meter cotton and 0,5 meter jersey (size 134)
• 0,3 meter cotton and 0,3 meter jersey (size 98) from babystofjes.nl

Cutting the fabric.

The front and the back are nearly straight pieces. The sleeves can be placed in between making the coat a very economical sew. I left off the hoodie. 

Instructions:

Because I left off the hoodie, the rest of the sew was pretty easy. I sew the shoulders, inserted sleeves and sew the sides (same for lining).  Sew lining to coat (kept a small portion open at the hem. Turned coat and topstitched outlining.

Fit:
It is fairly oversized. Good for a vest or a coat. 

Conclusion:
Nice coordinating coat.
