The fabric
  • ca 1,3 meter quilting cotton
  • ca 0,3 meter quilting cotton for lining (bodice only)
Cutting the fabric.
I a bit of an effort. Instructions are a bit unclear and piece names are difficult. The skirt is three rectangular pieces, back is three pieces and the front is four pieces.

Instructions:
Up until sewing the skirt to the bodice, it was. Basicaly, make the bodice including the lining. Make and line the skirt, attach the skirt to the bodice, but at that time the bodice lining was completely attached to the main fabric, so I couldn't fold the lining back and topstich it as instructed. I changed it to:
1, make and line bodice (like instructed)
2, make skirt main and skirt lining.
3, sew skirt main to skirt lining with bodice inbetween and leave an opening to turn dress.
4, topstich opening (I left an opening in the side of the dress, the part that is overlaped).

I like that the gathers in the seam allowance are facing down and in the skirt (making it fuller) in stead of in the bodice.

Fit:
As expected

Conclusion:
More to come.
