Pattern review: Vintage little Lady; Baker dress

I upcycled my dress into a dress for my girl/

The pattern
Meet Baker! An edgy, vintage, all around summer silhouette! Baker features a partial wrap front, fully functional button side, vintage length dress! You can spice Baker up with a beautiful bodice flutter cascading up the front and over the back or simplify Baker by sewing the plain bodice, sleeveless version. The plain bodice version is the perfect time to add in trims, piping, laces, etc. into the princess seams lining the front and back bodice! Baker has so many details you can put her together in so many ways to create several different looks! Baker is left up to the creative mind and the biggest imaginations! Rock out vintage, summer vibes in style with Baker!

Cutting the fabric.
I a bit of an effort. Instructions are a bit unclear and piece names are difficult. The skirt is three rectangular pieces, back is three pieces and the front is four pieces.

Instructions:
Up until sewing the skirt to the bodice, it was. Basicaly, make the bodice including the lining. Make and line the skirt, attach the skirt to the bodice, but at that time the bodice lining was completely attached to the main fabric, so I couldn't fold the lining back and topstich it as instructed. I changed it to:
1, make and line bodice (like instructed)
2, make skirt main and skirt lining.
3, sew skirt main to skirt lining with bodice inbetween and leave an opening to turn dress.
4, topstich opening (I left an opening in the side of the dress, the part that is overlaped).

I like that the gathers in the seam allowance are facing down and in the skirt (making it fuller) in stead of in the bodice.

Fit:
As expected

Conclusion:
More to come.
