Sew Along: self drafted; gathered skirt

 

The idea

A remnant eyelet jersey I had used for two dresses. I love how the fabric drapes, but it is a very small piece. I think if I were to make it into a skirt, it would be a nice use of this remnent. 

The pattern

Gathered skirt with elastic waistband. 

Additional info:

• Cut to size, I use a waistband size from a 116 legging. 
• Recommended Fabrics : all scraps, knits or wovens
• Easy
• Self drafted

Cutting the fabric.

A very small piece of eyelet jersey left after two dresses. It was a rectangular piece so perfect for a gathered skirt. I won't line the skirt as she will always wear a pair of leggings under it.
