Sew along: Burda 06/2021; dress 123

 

The idea

I wanted to make a border print dress for a while now and I saw this gorgeous fabric. I think the dress in the latest Burda is a very good fit. 

The pattern

Dress with wide straps constructed with metal rings.

Additional info:

• 44-52 (EU). I make size 48

The fabric

• ca 2 meter jersey from: demooistestoffen

Cutting the fabric.

The border print is only on one half of the fabric. That bottom 'half' is for the skirt part (with some white of the top half to make it a knee length skirt. The width is the full length of 2 meters and a bit fuller then the pattern asks for. The remaining white fabric was cut for the bodice, bodice lining, front straps and back straps to attach the rings.
