Pattern review: Gertie sews jiffy dresses; The swirl dress

I love this dress very much. It is more of a hassle to put on than it looks. 

The pattern

Book with two parts. Part one is an elaborate introduction to sewing. Part two contains the wardrobe. 

There are five main patterns and a couple of variations on those patterns.

 

Additional info:

• 2-16 (US) but is different to big 4 sizing. My big 4 size 22 should be a size 16.

Instructions:

Dress is fairly uncomplicated, but instructions are sufficient. Some sketches are provided. 

Fit:

Because of the wrap the sizing is very forgiving. 

Conclusion

Love it.
