FREE: Sew along: MoodFabrics: Sollya romper
The idea
How about a lovely summer romper for me? I'll make a wearable muslin in double gauze. If it is a hit, I'll make one in a scuba and a wax as well.
The pattern
You can't go wrong with a romper. This summer equivalent to a jumpsuit is an entire outfit in one easy to choose garment! Our Sollya Romper features a fitted waist, slightley puffed sleeves and pleated shorts for the perfect fit.

Cutting the fabric.
This pattern takes a lot of fabric, especially the trouser parts are pretty big parts.
Waistband is made from 7 parts (the middle part is on the fold). |
Four seams in the waistband line up with the pleats, two with the side seams and the seventh is for the zipper. |
Front parts are gathered. |
Pleats in the trousers |
Insert sleeves. |
Sleeves are finished with bands, |
Hem on the trousers. |
