Pattern review: Little Lizard King: Sedona dress

Wow, this dress is a bit big, but I love it very much. She will probably wear it over the winter as the straps fall off, but it looks gorgeous on her.

The pattern
The Sedona pattern is a relaxed fit, babydoll, dolman style top/dress. The front bodice is v-shaped and the back bodice is scooped. The Sedona has no closures and slips over the head. (description of site, but don't forget to add a zipper yourself)

Additional info:
  • 12m - 14Y, this is a size 4.
  • Recommended fabrics: knits and wovens
  • Rated very easy
  • Little Lizard King - OOP (out of print)

The fabric
  • Cotton with watercolor print through: familyfabrics.nl
  • I used about halve a yard for this dress. The skirt is less full than designed.

Pattern instructions

LLK offers very elaborated picture-guided instructions with their patterns and are very suitable for beginners.

Fit
A size 4 is still a bit big on her, with kids clothes I don't really mind though. They will grow into it.

Conclusion

Very beautiful, quick dress. Add a zipper though.
