Sew along: Burda 10/2020 118 pinafore dress

 

Cutting the pattern 

I cut out this pattern with my  daughters pinafore so I could make it a bit more economically. I didn't line the dress so I had to make the inside pocket out of fabric as well.

 

Front half plus inside pocket (could also be made from a lining)

Inside of the skirt with inside pocket.

Second part of the pocket (the part that shows)

Sew the pocket

tack the pocket to the skirt to keep pocket in place.

Right side of pocket.

Sew all four skirt sides.

French seams on three sides, the one with the zipper I used bias binding.

Front bib.

Sew front bib on waist band.

Sew back straps on waist band.

Sew waistband together, sew waistband to skirt. Insert zipper.
