Sewing planning: Burdastyle 05/2018 107 dress with sweetheart neckline

 

The idea

My favorite knit in my stash. I don't really like knit dresses though, so I searched very hard for a good pattern. I wanted a dress with a sweetheart neckline and found it in my favorite issue. The pattern suggests a cotton with a bit of stretch. I thought I would give it a try.

• Jersey knit of Rijstextiles, sold through stoffen-online.nl
  

• Lining thin jersey of budgetstoffen.nl
  

The pattern

A dream decolleté is shaped with the bustier look of this knee-length dress with the narrow pencil skirt. The boxy outline of the neckline extends through the gathered sleeves that are snug on the shoulders.
