Sewing planning: Met naald en schaar: original vintage dress
The idea
I saw these beautiful booklets and I did some research on their origin. It has such a great history and is definitely part of Dutch Sewing History. I knew I had to make a pattern of it.
The difficulty is: it doesn't provide pattern sheets. Rather you create one from your own measurements. This is called a bodice block or a sloper. Then you draw the dress unto the sloper
The fabric
- African Dutch wax from: Africanfabs.nl
The pattern
Dress from Met Naald en Schaar from May 1951.
Additional info:
- create sloper from own size, then sketch dress unto sloper
- Recommended Fabrics : cottons.
- Rated 1000/1000
- Booklets are rare, but pattern is on my blog.
