Pattern review: Knipkids 2-2022; dress

The pattern

Dress in a seventies style - now totally hip - with the square yoke and neckline and with cropped sleeves. This model is not so difficult to make and many fabrics are suitable for it.

Additional info:

• 98-134 (3y-9y) (also in same magazine a baby-size 50-92/0m-2y and a teen version 140-176/10y-16y). I make a 128 (size 8y).

The fabric

• ca 1,4 meter quilting cotton

Cutting the fabric.

I cut the front on the bias to play with the diagonal print.

Instructions: 

Not very easy, but doable. Use the notches and named seams.

Fit:

Forgiving.

Conclusion:

Use a thinner fabric (like viscose or double gauze) for more drape
