PATTERN REVIEW: Butterick 6390; vintage jacket

Vintage inspired dress

The pattern
Close-fitting lined jacket has forward shoulder seams, back shaped yoke, back princess seams, bust pockets and band at waist.

Additional info:
  • 6-14 or 14-22. I made a 22, it is nipped in the waist so mind the finished sizes.
  • Recommended Fabrics : medium wovens like denim or twill
  • rated moderate difficulty
  • Butterick 6390
The fabric
  • ca 1.5 meter wool (or lookalike)
  • ca 0,6 meter lining. Quilting cotton withcatprint (the sleeves are unlined.
Cutting the fabric.
The pieces are pretty straightforward. The collar is one piece and folded over on the long side, making it the easiest collar I have sewn so far. There are no outer fabric facings, so make sure you iron the seam allowances well.

Instructions:
Pretty conclusive and complete.

Fit:
Whahaha, it still does. Ment to wear this fall.

Conclusion:
Love it so much.
