PATTERN REVIEW: FIBRE MOOD #13: ROBIN JUMPER V2&3

 

Made this this sweater last year so I will make a size larger. I think I have enough for a baby-sized as well. 

The pattern

TWho needs another jacket this spring when you can pull on this comfy oversized jumper? It's 100% child friendly with its standing collar and easy-peasy snap closure. The wrist trim and hem band are finished with ribbing fabric. The cool kangaroo pocket at the front is the perfect spot for storing sweets, knick-knacks, and treasures. Cool feature: the horizontal lapped seam across the back.

Additional info:

• 2-14 yo. I make a size 2 and 8
• Recommended Fabrics : knits like French terry, sweatshirt fabric, or jacquard. Use ribbing for the wrist trim and hem band.

The fabric

• ca 1,0 m French Terry in an ombre pattern

 

Cutting the fabric.

This ombre fabric was a bit of a challenge. I managed to get the sweater right, but the sleeves were from remnants, making one light and one dark sleeve. I cut the back of size 8 in one part and didn't have enough for a pocket.

Instructions:

Fibre mood has very elaborate instructions for a magazine.

Fit:

It is a bit oversized.

love it. will make more surely
