Sew along: Fashion Style 01-2021; kids dress

 

The idea

I bought a thin satin cotton with rainbow mermaids on them. My girl fell in love with it immediately. I wanted to make a wearable long dress from it. 

The pattern

Mini me. Isn't it a dream. The dress has a A-line and lovely details like small pleats in the front, gathered sleeves, splits in the side seam and a seperate underskirt from tule. It falls just over the knee.

The fabric

• ca 1,0 meter fabric, lightweight cotton satin

Cutting the fabric.

I cut the facing on the front in stead of a separate facing. The sleeves are two pattern pieces as there is a opening in the bottom. I left this out and cut the sleeve in one piece.
