Pattern review: Gerties Ultimate dress book: cherry corduroy dress -Sis' version

I hope my sis will like this dress. I do.

The pattern
Book with two parts. Part one is an elaborate introduction to sewing. Part two contains the wardrobe.
Patterns are ment to combine at own insight. 23 dresses are given as an example. As I was left with some questions to what parts here is my method for numbering different parts

The cherry corduroy dress is:
1.7    Princess seam Bodice
2.6    All around pleated skirt
3.2    3/4 sleeve

Additional info:
  • 2-16 (US) but is different to big 4 sizing. My big 4 size 22 should be a size 16.
  • Recommended fabrics: cottons, linens, corduroy
  • not rated
  • Gerties Ultimate dress book
The fabric

2,7 meter cotton jersey through naaiplezier.nl

Instructions

Depending on your expectations they can range from easy to very difficult.
1, it is a book. The first part is very extensive, has a lot of general tips on sewing, fabrics, fitting and the like. The second part is about the patterns and the instructions are a bit more minimal. Sew if you have some experience in constructing dresses or be prepared to read 'back' a lot as it gives directions like: "add a zipper (see page xx)"
2, There are 23 dresses given as examples of all the variations as all bodices, sleeves and skirts can be combined. Some extra details are drawn on the pattern sheet (peplum, short-sleeve cuffs or collars) and are for a particular pattern piece. Some extra details are given on the examples alone (like how to make a faux-sarong or a bodice strap)
All this could be a bit information overload. I could use some more diagrams. Also, per dress the different pattern sheets are given, but not what particular piece on what sheet. If you want to make a combination of parts not given as an example, it takes a bit of figuring out which parts are on which sheet.
3, It could have helped if the patterns were rated. This princess seam bodice is unlined, has facings and no boning which makes it much easier than the bodices with boning. So this pattern is a good start.

Fit:
In a stretch fabric it is a bit bigger but still very lovely. I made a full bicep adjustment and lowered the arm scye.

Conclusion
Not the last dress.
