The issue.
Burda style March 1977
ca 80 patterns
3,50 German Mark
Includes children's patterns and plus size patterns.

Burda in the 70's was definitely more of a lifestyle magazine. In the overview we see different subjects like crafts (knitting, cross stitching), beauty, entertainment, house and family (recipes or plant care).
What else is different to modern issues is that most patterns come in one size or two at the most. Apparently everybody knew how to grade patterns up or down.

The must-makes.

Dress 8858 has straps that are fastened with buttons to the front and a row of buttons on the back.

Coat 8862 has a beautiful A-line and a beautiful high collar.

Dress 8866 is perfect for a beautiful fabric with a border print. Or you can cross stich the borders ofcourse.

Shirtdress 8844 has buttons on top, but the skirt is without. I really like this version and is different to modern day shirtdresses with buttons all the way down like this one I made.

So what are your favorites
Do you have any favorite patterns? Have you actually made a pattern from the 70's. I would love to hear about it, please leave a reaction.
