Pattern review: Marion 12-1970; dress

 

The pattern

Dress with puff sleeves, waist darts and gathered skirt. Zipper in back.

Additional info:

• 8. or 128 cm. There is only one size on the sheet, other sizes were purchasable.

The fabric

• ca 1,0 meter cotton
• ca 0,4 meter viscose as lining for bodice only 
  

Cutting the fabric.

The pieces are fairly large, so good for larger prints.

Instructions: 

No instructions, so sew at own insight. Make darts, sew shoulders, insert sleeves and gather with elastic, sew sideseam. Same for lining. Attach lining, attach skirt, insert zipper.

Fit:

As it is a size 8 and my girl wears a size 6 or 7 now it is fairly large. Mind you, the style of the dress is that the skirt is fairly short.

Conclusion:

Love the dress.
